Maintenance

Typical interval: 24,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. Engine, model year and severe use may require a shorter interval; do not exceed the service warning. The listed oil approvals are not interchangeable: check the one for the engine. Brake fluid: generally replaced every 2 years; inspect the brakes at each service. Older Rover K engines: timing belt, often 90,000 km or 5 years; monitor coolant level and temperature. Recent SAIC engines use a different schedule.
