Why oil changes are essential
Engine oil lubricates, cools and cleans moving parts. Over time, it degrades and loses its properties. Regular oil changes are the number one way to protect your engine.
How often?
The general rule is every 10,000 to 15,000 km or once a year. Check your vehicle's service manual for the manufacturer's recommendation. Recent diesel engines can go up to 30,000 km.
Signs an oil change is needed
Louder engine noise, oil warning light on, black exhaust smoke, increased fuel consumption. If you notice these signs, don't delay.
