Maintenance

Typical interval: 30,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. Engine, model year and severe use may require a shorter interval; do not exceed the service warning. The listed oil approvals are not interchangeable: check the one for the engine. Brake fluid: generally replaced every 2 years; inspect the brakes at each service. Timing: many older engines use a belt, often 120,000 km or 5 years; some versions extend to 160,000 km or 6 years. Recent chain-driven TCe engines do not use this interval.
