Maintenance

Typical interval: 15,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. Engine, model year and severe use may require a shorter interval; do not exceed the service warning. The listed oil approvals are not interchangeable: check the one for the engine. Brake fluid: generally replaced every 2 years; inspect the brakes at each service. Belt-driven EJ engines: a common reference is 105,000 km or 7 years, distinct from chain-driven FB/FA. On turbo versions, check the oil level frequently and shorten the interval under severe use.
