Maintenance

Typical interval: 30,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. Engine, model year and severe use may require a shorter interval; do not exceed the service warning. The listed oil approvals are not interchangeable: check the one for the engine. Brake fluid: generally replaced every 2 years; inspect the brakes at each service. Timing: many five-cylinder and Drive-E engines have a belt; common intervals are 150,000–180,000 km or 10 years depending on the engine. This interval does not apply to chain-driven engines.
