Oil, oil filter and microfilter
At the CBS deadline

The 550i (petrol) produces 330 kW (450 hp) and 650 Nm from the N63B44B engine of 4395 cc. Same name, different version: do not confuse with the 550i 300 kW / N63B44A (2010–2013, pre-facelift). Engine code and output appear in the registration and VIN data.
Figures apply to the cited configuration and market; equipment and transmissions may vary by production date.

The 550i (petrol) produces 330 kW (450 hp) and 650 Nm from the N63B44B engine of 4395 cc. ADAC period: 07/2013–10/2016. Body: F10 Saloon and F11 Touring. Gearbox: eight-speed automatic only. Also offered as xDrive (all-wheel drive). 0–100 km/h: 4.6 s; NEDC combined: 8.6 l/100 km (Saloon, automatic, ADAC). Same name, different version: do not confuse with the 550i 300 kW / N63B44A (2010–2013, pre-facelift). Engine code and output appear in the registration and VIN data.
BMW oil-change quantity (press specification sheets): 9 l — F10 Saloon and F11 Touring (rear-wheel drive); 8.5 l — F10 Saloon xDrive. It is a service quantity: check the level after filling. Quantities differ by body or drive: check yours. The facelift F10 handbook allows BMW Longlife-01, Longlife-01 FE or Longlife-04 for topping up petrol engines, in SAE 0W-40, 0W-30, 5W-40 or 5W-30, without additives. For the V8 the stated top-up is 2 litres when the message appears.
CBS calculates deadlines from usage; read distance and date under Vehicle info → Vehicle status → Service required. The F10 handbook lists oil, oil filter and microfilter at each oil service; spark plugs and air filter every second oil change; front and rear pads, brake fluid and vehicle check at their own deadlines. The handbook sets no universal fixed oil-change mileage.
4.4-litre (4395 cc) twin-turbo petrol V8. AutoKarnet has no engine sheet for it and no BMW source consulted documents its timing drive or a specific defect, so nothing is claimed here. With a 2-litre top-up prescribed, checking the oil level regularly is sensible.
ADAC’s F10/F11 5 Series list cites, for this period: starter relay insufficiently sealed against water, corrosion and fire risk; starter replaced (August 2026 recall, cars built 07/2014–11/2020); passenger, curtain, knee and side airbags with faulty igniter mix (January 2017 recall, cars built 07/2016–12/2016). These campaigns target build ranges and often other models too: only a VIN check confirms eligibility and completion.

Bring the VIN, build month, engine code N63B44B and the 330 kW output. Note the CBS deadlines and hand over the key used on the last drive: it stores service data. Mention any period with the battery disconnected, which CBS does not count. Ask for oil, filters and operations to be itemised and the service recorded in the history.
