BMW 3 Series F30 / F31 (2015–2019)
The 2015 facelift introduces B38/B48/B58 petrols and extends B47 use across smaller diesels. The 325d nevertheless remains N47 until March 2016. The plug-in 330e joins the Saloon range; its petrol-engine servicing is not replaced by a battery check.

Identify phase and body
F30 means Saloon, F31 Touring; F34 Gran Turismo, F35 and F80 M3 are outside this dossier. The facelift goes on sale in July 2015. ADAC dates the Saloon’s end to October 2018 and the Touring’s to June 2019; these generation limits do not mean every engine remains available until the last month. Choose by build month, kW and engine code.

Documented maintenance
The F31 handbook details oil and filter, microfilter, air filter, petrol spark plugs or diesel fuel filter, brakes and vehicle checks. Engine pages give BMW quantities and distinguish the early handbook’s documented frequency from checks needed for later and hybrid versions. The 2016 handbook’s FE approvals are not universal.
Recall checks
ADAC’s 3 Series list includes starter-relay corrosion with a fire risk (August 2026) and the driver-airbag inflator (September 2024). These campaigns span multiple models and periods: only a VIN check and completed-work history establish applicability. On diesels BMW documents glycol leaks from the EGR cooler: soot and heat can lead to intake damage and, exceptionally, fire. The 2018 campaign was expanded; check open VIN campaigns even if the history already records EGR work.
