BMW 8 Series G14/G15/G16 (2018–2025)

G15 is the Coupé, G14 the fabric-roof Convertible and G16 the four-door Gran Coupé. Coupé starts in 2018, the other two bodies follow in 2019. The March 2022 update is not the main six-cylinder change: from November 2020, 840d has 340 hp and 48-volt assistance, while European 840i has 333 hp. Pages combine bodies with matching engine and output. N63-powered M850i belongs here; S63-powered M8 F91/F92/F93 is separate. Final dates follow ADAC’s German catalogue, not every export offering.

Documented maintenance

CBS calculates service needs from use. Read engine oil, brake fluid and vehicle check separately in service requirements. Plan the oil filter with the oil change; have the cabin filter, air filter and spark plugs or diesel fuel filter itemised against the service counter. The consulted handbook does not give their complete version-specific schedule. Report storage with the battery disconnected so time-based items can be corrected.

Documented faults and recalls

The consulted ADAC pages list no detailed campaign for these 8 Series examples. This does not prove that recalls do not exist: request a VIN check of open campaigns with the original market and repair history. The early N63 care programme in the engine section does not automatically cover M850i.
